Hyundai Veloster teased for Detroit debut
Recently, Hyundai has confirmed plans to introduce the highly-anticipated Veloster at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The car will be equipeed with an injection engine, a dual-clutch transmission, and an estimated fuel economy rating of 40 mpg.
Nothing is official, but previous reports have indicated the coupe will be powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder with 122 PS (90 kW / 121 hp) and 155 Nm (114 lb-ft) of torque. Later on, a turbocharged 1.6-liter is expected to join the lineup with 177 PS (131 kW / 175 hp).
