Ford reveals 247hp Focus ST
Come the Paris Motor Show later this month, Ford will lift the lid on its Focus ST that will be the Blue Oval’s first high-performance model that was developed by its global performance vehicle team. Although the gory gold hatch in the shots are just the ‘design study’ according to Ford, it’s essentially the basis for the 2012 Focus ST that will hit the markets and go global.
Sitting ahead of the driver is a 2-liter EcoBoost inline four pumping out 247hp through a proper manual transmission. Even the interior has been tastefully spruced up with carbon fiber bits to match the performance.
Sitting alongside the Focus ST at the stands at Paris will be the new Mondeo and C-Max that will be sporting Ford’s new range of fuel-efficient petrol and diesel engines. We’ll take a Focus ST please, minus the gold.
